Nuclear Medicine Physician - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to)

  • The Nuclear Medicine Physician uses radioactive materials to diagnose and treat diseases, including cancer, heart disease, and neurological disorders.
  • Use specialized scanners and tracers to provide functional insights into cells, tissues, and organ systems, enhancing diagnostic accuracy.
  • The Nuclear Medicine Physician aids in early disease detection and treatment, identifying abnormalities before they become clinically significant, which improves patient prognosis.
  • Interpret advanced imaging studies to guide patient management and treatment planning.
  • Contribute to clinical research to improve diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, advancing the field of nuclear medicine.
  • The Nuclear Medicine Physician monitors and treats diseases like cancer, heart disease, and neurological disorders by providing targeted therapies and evaluating treatment outcomes.

Nuclear Medicine Physician - REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have a Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Must be Board Certified in Radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR).
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in Nuclear Medicine,
  • Must have current DEA, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
  • Must have a current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
