It is an acute care and inpatient behavioral health facility with 146 beds available for medical, neurological, and surgical care in the main facility and 78 secure, private psychiatric beds in the consolidation building. This campus also receives the most outpatient visits of all VAPHS facilities.

Interventional Radiologist - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to)
- The Interventional Radiologist conducts minimally invasive procedures using radiologic imaging to diagnose and treat conditions like vascular diseases, cancer, and organ abnormalities.
- Perform treatments such as angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, tumor ablation, and biopsies.
- Administer catheter-based treatments for vascular and non-vascular diseases.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient needs and imaging findings.
- The Interventional Radiologist provides post-procedure care and follow-up evaluations to ensure successful treatment outcomes.
- Work closely with referring physicians and specialists (e.g., oncologists, surgeons) to integrate interventional radiology into comprehensive patient care plans.
- Ensure that post-procedure orders are posted, and a warm handoff is made in case requiring post-procedure care.
- Provide consultation and instruction to referring physicians regarding appropriate indications for Interventional radiologic procedures.
- The Interventional Radiologist provides review of all requested exams.
Interventional Radiologist - REQUIREMENTS
- A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Must have a board certification in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or equivalent.
- Shall possess a current, valid, unrestricted license in any State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in performing interventional radiology procedures.
- Must have a current ACLS/BLS certificate.
